Women

When I looked up what the Hebrew word for woman meant it gave me three definitions: wife, woman, and opposite of man. In that time, these were the only roles for women. They were married off young, expected to give birth to children to carry the name and lineage of the man they were married to. But it is clearly shown throughout the Bible that God cared so much more for these women, and they were more than just those defining things. Look at Miriam, Deborah, Esther, Ruth, Priscilla, and Mary. All women with bravery and courage, all women who trusted God with their lives. They were judges, queens, teachers, sisters, and mothers. God gave these women huge duties, many of them saved nations, raised kings. It’s a good thing that women are defined as “opposite of man” or else they would have never been able to do these things as a man. They are women.
